What This Weekend Is All About
Fredericksburg Celebration Weekend was created to bring neighbors together in a fun, relaxed, and welcoming way. Throughout the holiday weekend, residents can participate in different activity time blocks hosted around the neighborhood.
Activities can take place on a front porch, front yard, back yard, driveway, garage, or anywhere you're comfortable.
Some families may choose to host a game, activity, social gathering, or themed event. Others may simply attend, meet neighbors, and enjoy the weekend.
This celebration is all about community, connection, and making the Fourth of July weekend feel special right here in Fredericksburg.

Want to Host an Activity?
Hosting can be simple. You do not have to plan the entire weekend or take on everything yourself. Activities can be something small like yard games, dessert tables, movie nights, crafts, pool gatherings, or family-friendly hangouts.
Volunteer families are available to help with setup and cleanup, and decorations/supplies may be provided depending on the activity. Participating hosts will receive a special hosting basket as a thank-you for being part of the weekend.
Hosts will also be reimbursed for activity expenses, decorations, supplies, and other hosting costs up to $300. Simply save your receipts and email them to FredericksburgEvents.sc@gmail.com. Reimbursement will be provided within 30 days.
Time blocks are flexible and can be customized around your idea.
Can Kids Host an Activity?
Absolutely! With parent supervision, children are welcome to participate by hosting simple activities such as lemonade stands, bake sales, craft tables, sidewalk chalk stations, cookie stands, or yard games.
Every activity, big or small, helps make Celebration Weekend special.

🎨 Patriotic Arts & Crafts
Spend the morning getting creative with your neighbors! Kids can enjoy face painting by Olivia, patriotic crafts, bracelet making, temporary tattoos, glow painting, and more. It's a fun way to kick off Celebration Weekend together.

🌭 Backyard BBQ & Yard Games
Come hungry and ready to have some fun! We'll have hot dogs, chips, drinks, lots of yard games and activities, and plenty of room to relax and enjoy the evening. Bring the family, meet some neighbors, and kick off the holiday weekend together.
